The Supreme Court Collegium adopted a new policy to transfer judges appointed as High Court Chief Justices well in advance from their current courts. This will allow them to familiarise themselves with their new courts before the current Chief Justices retire. It was decided that such transfers should ideally take place around two months before the vacancy arises.
