SC on Thursday reserved its verdict in the case of Harish Rana, a 32-year-old Delhi resident who has been in vegetative state since 2013. His parents moved SC seeking permission for passive euthanasia. Harish was a civil engineering student. In 2013, Harish fell from fourth-floor balcony of his PG accommodation. He sustained severe head injuries that resulted in complete disability.
