Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) candidate Rubiya Begam is among the poorest candidates in the West Bengal Assembly election with movable assets worth ₹500. Rubiya is contesting the polls from Durgapur East constituency. TMC has fielded current MLA Pradip Mazumdar from Durgapur East seat. The first phase of voting in West Bengal will take place on April 23.
