A video surfaced on social media showing a man subjecting a stray dog to cruelty and forcing it to consume alcohol from a liquor bottle in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district. Following public outrage, a case was registered against him at Ramala police station under the provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and the accused was arrested.
